Cranleigh Young Farmers – Horse Show set-up Mon 29th Aug

Just over a week to go until our Horse Show and Gymkhana on Sun 4th Sept. We’ll be meeting at Rooks Hill Farm (GU5 0LX) this Monday Bank Hol to make a start setting up the rings and pulling the jumps out of the barn so all help gratefully received – adults and youngsters alike. Meet there 4pm.

On Show Day – Sunday 4th September – classes start 9.30am (9.15 for Clear Round). Gymkhana classes start 1pm.

Cranleigh Young Farmers Fri 26th Feb – ferrets!

This week, Cranleigh Young Farmers will be having a visit from Ferret Rescue Surrey who will give us a talk about their work and then it’ll be all hands on ferrets!

Cranleigh Young Farmers pumpkin carving Fri 23rd Oct

This week the youngsters will be carving pumpkins, playing a few ‘challenge’ games (apple bobbing, pea control, etc) and then going home with a bag of sweeties.

Cranleigh Young Farmers has 14 members aged between 10 and 16 and meets at Grafham Hall, on the A281 near Run Common Road, every Friday 7.30pm – 9pm. If  you would like more details, please email Louise on booker1566@gmail.com

Cranleigh Young Farmers Fri 11th Sept 2015 – ragwort pull

This week Cranleigh Young Farmers will be meeting up at Rooks Hill Farm (GU5 0LX) and digging up ragwort as a thank you to Mr John Compton for letting us have the run of his farm last week for our annual Horse Show and Gymkhana. Please meet there 7.30pm (ending about 9pm) and bring a strong hand fork plus some gloves.

Sun 6th Sept 2015 Cranleigh Young Farmers Horse Show & Gymkhana

Sunday 6th Sept 2015 will be Cranleigh and District’s annual Horse Show and Gymkhana at Rooks Hill Farm on the A281 near Bramley, Surrey. GU5 0LX.

Horse show entries £6 per class, Gymkhana from £2. Classes for 8rs and under, 12yrs and under and Open.

17 Horse show classes including Jumping, Hunter, Coloured, Veteran, etc.

Rosettes awarded in all classes.

16 Gymkhana classes (Rosettes to 6th place) plus a Clear Round class 9.15am onwards.

Spectators welcome for free from 9am. Refreshments available all day.

Fri 26th June – Cranleigh Young Farmers visiting a chicken farm

This week, Cranleigh Young Farmers will be visiting a chicken farm in Plaistow.  Meet at Plaistow Stores (RH14 0PX) for 7.30pm and collection will be back at the stores at 9pm.

Cranleigh Young Farmers Fri 17th April Bowlhead Green Farm, Godalming

This week Cranleigh Young Farmers will be visiting Bowlhead Green Farm in Godalming (GU8 6NW) for some help with Dairy and Beef Stock judging with Jo Ranson.

This week Cranleigh Young Farmers will be learning about horse management – everything from the right tack and food to naming parts of the horse. We’ll be meeting at our usual hall in Grafham. We currently have 13 members aged 10 – 16yrs and meet every Friday evening 7.30pm – 9pm.
