Cranleigh Young Farmers Xmas party Fri 16th Dec – Grafham Hall

Cranleigh members will be having their Christmas party at the Grafham Hall on Fri 16th December starting 7.30pm. There will be silly games, party dances and party food for our last meeting before the New Year – back on 6th January (AirHop!).

Cranleigh Young Farmers Fri 9th Dec night walk from Hurtwood carpark 2

This week the members, parents and dogs will be doing a night walk starting at the ‘Walking Bottom’ car park (Hurtwood car park 2), meeting 7.30pm.  It will be cold and dark so wear appropriate footwear and clothing and bring a torch!

Cranleigh Young Farmers Fri 18th Nov – bug boxes and insect hotel

This Friday the members will be making bug boxes in Grafham Hall and then going into the garden and building a huge insect hotel. Cranleigh Young Farmers need a new Club Leader from January 2017

After over 4 years of leading Cranleigh Young Farmers, Louise will be leaving at Christmas so we need a new Club Leader!  If you are over 18, enthusiastic, friendly, fun and enjoy the countryside and the company of a great bunch of 10 to 16 years olds, please contact Louise on 01306 628194. You will need to commit to most Friday evenings plus a couple of hours a week on admin – any extra hours you want to put in are up to you (Country Fairs, Stock Judging competitions, The Cowpie Show etc)

Cranleigh Young Farmers Fri 21st Oct – pumpkin carving

This week Cranleigh Young Farmers will be carving pumpkins at Grafham Hall (on the A281 near the junction to Run Common Road). 7.30pm – 9pm as usual.

Pumpkins are provided, if you let Louise know by Fri 10am that you are coming – text her on 078584 66652.

Cranleigh Young Farmers – Fri 23rd Sep – Mary’s Meals talk

This week we have a lady who volunteers for the charity Mary’s Meals coming to talk about the work they do.

Meet at Grafham Hall (on the A281 close to Run Common Road) for 7.30pm. The meeting will end about 9pm.

Cranleigh Young Farmers Fri 1st July – walk up Leith Hill

This week the youngsters will be walking up Leith Hill, come rain or shine. Meet Starveall Corner carpark (the one with barriers on the Leith Hill Road) 7.30pm. Cranleigh currently has 16 members aged 10 to 17 years. Cranleigh Young Farmers Elliott Cup competition Fri 17th June

This week the youngsters will be meeting at Upper Ifold Farm for our annual Elliott Cup competition. There they will be quizzed on countryside matters such as identifying vegetables, parts of a horse and tack, their countryside safety knowledge and knowing what various pieces of farm machinery do.

Cranleigh club currently has 16 members aged 10 to 17 years and we meet every Fri 7.30pm – 9pm. If you would like to come along or find out further details about our club please contact Louise on booker1566@gmail.com

 

Cranleigh Young Farmers Fri 22nd April – Cowpie ‘make’ Grafham Hall

Cranleigh Young Farmers – Fri 8th April – Bowlhead Green Farm

This week Cranleigh Young Farmers will be visiting Bowlhead Green Farm where Jo Ranson will be giving us helpful hints on dairy cow stock judging in readiness for the Cowpie Show on 8th May in Lingfield!

Cranleigh Young Farmers have 14 members aged 10 to 16 and we meet every Friday evening 7.30 – 9pm.
